Predictions

Postby Old boy » 24 Sep 2017, 18:41

Someone on here claims to have his finger on the pulse of politics in Europe and has predicted a number of things. Let's have a look at some of them.

Greece would leave the Euro and the EU. Result, they are still in both, and are, at last, seemingly coming out of the financial meltdown.

UKIP would sweep into power in 2015. Result, one MP who everyone, with at least half a brain, knows is really a Conservative. None in 2017, either and in between the two general elections, UKIP get virtually wiped out in the local elections.

The far right would sweep to power in France. Result, the French a Socialist President and a Socialist parliament.

The far right would sweep Mrs Merkel out, and bring in a far right Chancellor. Result, it would appear as though Mrs Merkel has won yet another election.

And so far, the EU hasn't imploded.

By the way, all that bluster from Juncker about how he envisages the future for the EU, is just that; bluster. He is coming to the end of his term in the next year or so, and he has already stated publically that he will not be standing for election for a further term, so his influence is waning. The reality is that it takes the EU longer to choose what biscuits they want with their morning coffee than it will take for them to decide on expanding their spheres of control.

Time for politics to take a back seat. More fun topics and promotion of the good around the world..

Can we get back to being the forum where everyone helped each other..... not stabbed in the back by interlopers?

Yes, Nigel's Witnesses will just put the date back...

--Armageddon has been put back several times by the Jehovah´s Witnesses too.

.. but no matter what the evidence you cannot change a Witnesses mind...

Although I have known several Jehovah´s Witnesses and they have all been nice people... I expect Nigel´s Witnesses are lurvely people too... (once you get them off the subject of Armageddon)

.. :D

Well done Paulwps and Something silly for putting Old Boy firmly in his rightful place . :thanks:

A correct assumption ...he is an "Interloper" , who comes on here from time to time , trying to stir up trouble for me .
Hopefully , he will now crawl back under the stone , from where he came .

It still hasn't dawned on him that we are good friends ( outwith the forum ) and have been , for longer than the time he's "inflicted" himself on M.C.F.

Old Boy - You've picked the "wrong forum" to have a pop at me !

You may have realised that now .... no posts by any members supporting your futile attempt to stir things up, despite many viewings . :that:

You may ( possibly ) get some back up from K.O.K. - but don't get too excited about that ..... he's a "lone wolf" on here also .
